Dopamine (DA) is a neurotransmitter, and its levels in the human body are associated with serious diseases. The need for suitable detection method medical practice has encouraged development of electrochemical sensors that take advantage DA electroactivity. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) biomimetic materials able to selectively recognize target analytes. A novel MIP sensor proposed here based on thin film poly(o-aminophenol) electrosynthesized bare Pt. fast easy executing procedure deposition been developed mild experimental conditions prevent electrode fouling from oxidation products. exhibited limit 0.65 ?M, appreciable reproducibility stability. high recognition capability towards allowed achievement notable selectivity: ascorbic acid, uric serotonin, tyramine did not interfere detection, even at higher concentrations. was successfully applied urine samples, showing good recovery.
